This thread was indirectly inspired by the other folks who have done commuting threads and Raleighdon and his "Car Free-KS" club.

Spring is taking its SWEET time...STILL!!! but maybe NOW you're inspired to spend over 24 hours without relying on a "cage."

c'mon... it's just past "bike to work" week - get on out Figure out your route! Figure out how to become one with your steed

Here's where the table lives

Here's to being "Car Light." The motor-vation for being motorless: you score like a pyramid. Each day you do without the car is going to build on the previous...

1 point for one day, 3 for 2, 6 points for 3 days, 10 for four, 15 for 5, 21 for six... and jump to 30 for a solid week. I'll try to update weekly... if you're not sure whether a dahy's posting is an "END OF CLUMP" then say so and I'll keep an eye out.

Not being the Control Free-K, if you end up going somehwere with somebody but they were going *anyway,* you're still car-free. All the other, oh, 12-passengers-and-up thingies hold true.

Goals are totally optional... but hey, after 50 points you're allowed chocolate! Tally as you will ... speak up and I"ll put you on the table. Or under the table. Or something like that!

Woot!!! Clumps!

And, as a bonus, you're not disqualifying me for carpooling to bike rides! Even better!

Yeah, I like this one!

Clumping. Is that kind of like River-Clumping? Or that other kind of stompy dance Clogging-Clumping? Pansy will dance this dance. But she refuses to do the math. Except of course she will magically know when the 50 points/score chocolate happens. Which will happen about every 72 hours because she is all freshly trained up in metric clumping---which is how you get the chocolate sooner than with that "other" kind of math. Do not question the Pansy Metric Math Logic. It will end badly and cost you chocolate.

Challenge Starts First of The Year.

Pansy - I will do my little excel file so that it will have a FORMULA in it - like baby formula for those of you - to add the points. YOu just have to be able to count the consecutive days.

choose2bike.com/ - if you're near Kansas, here's even more incentive!

I'm going to go all out and set a goal of one point. Make that two points. I assume this is for days where I otherwise might have gotten in my car? Yeah, two points. No clumps.

Chocolate!!!! [droool] I hate to join this one as it will take away from all the rest of you who haven't had 12 years to practice and get all the right moves down. But since chocolate is involved can Mrs.thePoet join too? She doesn't have a bicycle, but since she lives with me she has been car free as long as I have...

Hey Sioux, this sounds like my kinda challenge! Put me down on, under, or somewhere near the table for a Plethora of Clumps. Recent studies suggest dark chocolate is helpful in lowering blood pressure, so I have some regularly for medicinal purposes. I'll ponder on another reward...
